Muttie

Muttie is one of the more dominant female chimps in her group, especially when it comes to food! She’s not afraid to try and trick her caregivers into giving her more food or resorting to attempts to steal food from others. She is never far from her best friend Melanie. 

Muttie’s group recently moved from side “B” of her villa to side “A.” She’s had new rooms to explore, new sunny spots to nap in, and a new view from the A side porch. With all this exploring, she’s also been inspecting the tunnel leading out to the South habitat more and more. Her caregivers have started laser pointer training with her to help encourage her to brave the great outdoors and start exploring the forested habitat.
