Bozo

Bozo was part of the most recent chimp transport to Project Chimps from the New Iberia Research Center in Louisiana! He made the journey to sanctuary alongside five other male chimpanzees, who will be gradually introduced to Kirk’s group in Chimps Ahoy villa.

Bozo is a laidback type of chimp who can always keep things chill even during tense situations. Johnny snags one of his pieces of corn? No problem. Kyrstin is trying to pull his hair through the mesh? Bozo isn’t fazed, simply moving away so she can’t reach him.

He really loves his chow, and when Adam (Bozo’s best friend) stole their groupmate Tony’s chow and went to Bozo for backup, it seemed like he was able to empathize with both. Rather than take sides, Bozo mediated between the two by hugging them and trying to defuse the situation. He’s the kind of friend all of us need sometimes, and Adam seems to agree!
