Banner Sponsorship Rules & Guidelines
Banner Specifications
Sponsors are responsible for providing a professionally produced vinyl banner meeting the following requirements:
- Size: 3 feet high x 5 feet wide (36" x 60")
- Material: Outdoor-grade, weather-resistant vinyl
- Finishing: Hemmed edges with rust-resistant grommets in each corner
- Condition: Banner must be clean, professional, and in good repair throughout the sponsorship term
Approval Requirements
All banner designs must be submitted for approval before production and installation.
Project Chimps reserves the right to approve or reject any banner based on:
- Community standards and appropriateness
- Content accuracy
- Professional appearance
- Compatibility with our mission and values
- Compliance with local laws and regulations
Approval of a sponsor does not constitute endorsement of the sponsor's products or services.
Prohibited Content
The following content is not permitted:
- Political campaigns or advocacy messages
- Offensive, obscene, or discriminatory material
- Tobacco, vaping, cannabis, or adult-oriented businesses
- Content that promotes illegal activities
- Content that promotes animal-based activities that do not meet our ethical code
- Messages that may be considered unsafe or inappropriate for families and children
Installation
- Banners will be installed by Project Chimps within 7 days of receipt.
- Sponsors may not install or remove banners without prior approval.
- Banner placement locations are assigned at the discretion of Project Chimps.
Maintenance & Replacement
Sponsors are responsible for maintaining banner quality throughout the sponsorship period.
If a banner becomes:
- Torn
- Faded
- Illegible
- Damaged by weather or vandalism
the sponsor may be required to replace the banner within 30 days.
Right to Remove
Project Chimps reserves the right to remove any banner without refund if:
- The banner does not comply with approved specifications.
- The sponsor fails to replace a damaged banner.
- The sponsor violates these guidelines.
- The sponsor engages in activities that may negatively impact the reputation or mission of Project Chimps.
Sponsorship Renewal
- Sponsorship space may be renewed annually.
- Existing sponsors will be given the first opportunity to renew before spaces are offered to new sponsors.
- Renewal fees are subject to change upon notice.
Liability
Project Chimps, its volunteers, board members, and affiliates are not responsible for loss, theft, damage, or deterioration of banners due to weather, vandalism, or other causes.
This project would not be possible without our many generous individual supporters and volunteers. We rely on donations to fulfill our mission, including caring for our existing residents and expanding the sanctuary to accommodate those chimpanzees still waiting in the lab.
