Reprint Requests

Can I reprint articles from the Project Chimps’ website on my web site or in a publication?
We welcome and encourage limited reprints of written content from www.projectchimps.org and other PC websites. You do not have to contact us if your request meets the following terms and conditions:

  • You use the article solely for the informational and educational purposes for which it is intended.
  • You reprint no more than ten (10) distinct pieces of PC-written content on your website(s). One article is considered one piece of written content. You cannot rotate different articles on and off your web site to accommodate this condition. If you wish to reprint more than ten pieces of written content, then please e-mail us with your request.
  • The text is not altered. If you wish to reprint portions of the text or modify the text in minor ways, please email us with a complete description of how you wish to do so via the webmaster contact form link below. We're generally amenable to these kinds of requests.
  • Credit is given as follows: "Reprinted by permission of Project Chimps." When our materials are reprinted online, the words "Project Chimps" must be a clickable text link to our website, projectchimps.org. Please note that we do not permit the use of the PC logo when crediting our materials. Our logo is a registered trademark of Project Chimps.
  • You are an individual or you represent a nonprofit or academic institution. If you represent a for-profit company that would like to republish a particular article because it fits with a specific company mission or publication, we ask that you email your request to us; we are generally amenable to such requests.

In addition, we'd be happy to explore a business relationship with you. We often license our names and marks to for-profits, for example, and sometimes this includes permission to use specified content. To learn more, please contact

Project Chimps expressly reserves the right to rescind any reprint permission for any reason at any time.

Can I use photographs, artwork, videos, or other graphics from the Project Chimps’ website?
We're sorry, but we do not allow the use or reproduction of graphic media from any of the websites we operate, unless Project Chimps owns the media or unless such reproduction is specifically authorized on the web page where the graphics or video appear. We have this policy because we work with numerous photographers and graphic designers for our electronic media, and, as a result, cannot legally grant permission to reproduce these works.

A credit line below an image or video will indicate if Project Chimps owns that piece of media. If you would like to reprint a Project Chimps graphic or video, then please email us. Please provide us with the URL where the work appears, and describe the intended use of the image. We will respond to your query as promptly as we can—within two weeks if at all possible. We are sorry that we cannot guarantee a faster response.

Linking Requests

Can I link to Project Chimps web site?

You are welcome and encouraged to link to our main website, www.projectchimps.org, to specific pages on our website, or to any of our affiliated websites. If you do choose to link to us, please honor the following terms and conditions:

  • You agree not to use Project Chimps logo as a link button. The PC logo is a registered trademark of Project Chimps. PC, in granting you permission to link to our website, is not granting you a license to use the PC logo. We strictly monitor the use of our logo and aggressively enforce our trademark rights.

  • If you provide a framed link to the Project Chimps home page, you agree to post on your web site: a) a disclaimer stating that you and/or your organization are not affiliated with Project Chimps; and b) instructions on how to view the Project Chimps home page without the frames.
