Maverick

Maverick is all black with a small notch scar in his upper lip, but he’s most recognizable from a distance for his rather short legs. He quickly got the affectionate nickname “Baby Legs” and gets called that to the point that some people might forget his real name is Maverick! He seems to be a real Casanova. 

Since the new chimps have arrived in Chimps Ahoy, Maverick has had the chance to show off his mediator skills. So far, he’s had several positive interactions with Roy in particular. He also has shown that he’ll back up the younger females in his group when they get upset at the new males. 

The new residents have not interfered with his playful nature, however, and Maverick is still frequently seen not only playing with the young females and the other males, but also giving the older females attention, especially the Alpha female Lindsey.
