Celebrate BABETTE’s 19th birthday!
Over the past year and a half, Babette has flourished, becoming a higher-ranking female in her group at Side B of the Laurie & Carlee McGrath Chateau and forming strong bonds with her fellow females. Let’s take a closer look at Babette’s journey and the things that bring her joy.
Babette’s sharp smarts and zest for learning? Well, they’ve turned her into a top-notch student during positive reinforcement training with her caregivers. At the moment, Babette’s being schooled on the “laser” cue. This training is not just a mental workout for her but it also might morph into a handy tool for fetching stuff when needed. This training is not only enriching for Babette but also helps the caregivers in situations where contraband needs to be retrieved or blankets are stuck in doors during shifting.
During meal times, Babette has a charming habit of “sittin’ funny.” She holds onto the mesh with her hands and cleverly “pretzels” her legs against the mesh, ensuring that her swell is right front-and-center. This sight is just too good, showcasing her unique personality and sprinkling a dash of humor into her day-to-day grind.
Babette treasures her morning rituals, particularly the time spent on the porch during the first shift of the day. While her group members gather inside for breakfast, Babette takes advantage of the quiet moments outside. Whether she’s rubbing her back against the walls or lounging in the hammock, she relishes these peaceful moments before the day truly begins.
Among Babette’s favorite possessions are the green cactus toys that she shares with her close companions, Manetta and Dawn. However, her true love lies in the sanctuary’s hammocks. If you don’t find her mingling with Manetta, Dawn, Melanie or Vicky, it’s because she’s indulging in the comfort of B side’s many hammocks. One can often find her lounging with her left arm gracefully draped over the edge, enjoying a moment of relaxation.
Everyone knows Babette’s passion for cuisine, savoring every morsel she gets her hands on. However, her true passion lies in the realm of fruits. Whether it’s a juicy slice of watermelon or a sweet mango, Babette savors the flavors and textures, truly appreciating the bounties of nature.
Today, March 11, we hope you’ll join us in wishing Babette a very happy 19th birthday! If you’d care to send her a birthday present, you can find dried fruit or a green cactus toy on our Amazon Wish List.
