Anna

Anna is high ranking within her group and is one of the most intelligent chimps at the sanctuary. Her intelligence shows best with her political and social savvy. Anna can typically get what she wants from her group mates and rarely draws the ire of any others. During mealtimes, she sometimes forages for anyone else’s dropped food before collecting her own serving to try and maximize the amount of food she can get. Though, when it’s something like apples or bananas, she often can’t wait and demands hers immediately!

Anna has a very dramatic role in her group. At times she can be found playing with the younger females in her group while other times she can be found following Care Staff and trying to convince them to give her the other chimps’ food. There are even times that she can be found annoying the whole group by throwing temper tantrums because she didn’t get her way when asking another chimp for a food item! Luckily for her, the group mostly enjoy her tantrums and just let her express herself as loud as she wants.
