Arthur

As the largest chimpanzee in his group, Arthur has spent the past few years testing his limits and exploring his physical capabilities. However, as he enters a new phase of maturity, he’s been shifting his focus more towards social interactions with his fellow groupmates.   

Arthur has started spending more time playing with his friends Krystal and Tiffany (as well as occasionally starting drama with the other males in his group). He was also very interested in a chimpanzee documentary Care Staff put on the TV in the villa recently. 

As has been the trend over the past several years, Arthur has been enjoying spending time in the North Peachtree habitat more and more recently! When he first arrived at the sanctuary, Arthur initially seemed to prefer the familiarity of indoor spaces to being outside in the habitat. However, that’s no longer the case! Today, Arthur loves going out so much that he often pushes his way past everyone else to be the first chimp out the tunnel and into the habitat.
