Kassie

Kassie is a mid-ranking chimp in her social group. She occupies a unique spot as lower ranking among the older females and higher ranking than many of the younger ones. She is the biggest female in her group and sometimes use her size to intimidate the little girls. However, since being introduced to a group of males, Kassie has been more active and become very playful, especially with the younger females and the high-ranking males. She often enjoys sitting in the tunnel to the outdoor habitat, catching some rays. Her favorite position to rest in closely resembles the “happy baby” yoga pose!
