LB

LB July 2021

LB is one of the highest-ranking individuals in her social group and is very intelligent! She loves training and is always the first chimp to come up to the mesh during a training session. She also loves figuring out new puzzles and enrichment. According to her caregivers, her favorite enrichment items are Kongs.

LB tends to be very vocal about food and is always prepared to receive it. As a result, she gets pretty excited during mealtimes! She also loves to lay on her tummy in her favorite spot in the bedroom.

LB loves carrying around small stuffed animals and Wubba toys, too. She is a fairly sociable chimp who loves grooming and typically gets along with most everyone in her group. However, when her best friend Babs is involved in a scuffle, LB is always right there to back her up!

This project would not be possible without our many generous individual supporters and volunteers. We rely on donations to fulfill our mission, including caring for our existing residents and expanding the sanctuary to accommodate those chimpanzees still waiting in the lab.
