Lizzy

If there’s one thing to be said about Lizzy, it’s that she’s as sweet as ever! Lizzy is a very personable chimp towards humans and is equally affectionate with her fellow groupmates. She loves laying in her favorite sunny spot in Cubby 2 of her villa grooming her friend Sheena, as well as spending long summer days in the habitat. 

Lizzy is one of the best nesters in the sanctuary and builds giant nests with all the nesting materials she can, including blankets, boxes, stuffed animals, toys, paper, and wood wool. She is always seen with a stuffed animal, especially her token Grinch plushies! She will place them in her nest (sometimes in the boxes) and is also seen grooming them. Her favorite enrichment is container smears; she will chase staff from hopper to hopper trying to get a second one. She also loves apples! When Lizzy greets you, she looks you deep in the eyes; she has very gentle eyes.
