Oscar is a teenager now and boy does it show! He’s a little like the boy on the playground who punches your arm and runs away laughing.
Oscar is low ranking in his group and his caregivers say he gets a little rowdy with the older females. When he first arrived from the lab, Oscar was very close to Kivuli and he still is, but he’s also developed a strong bond with Leo. Oscar sometimes plays with the females when he’s not annoying them!
Oscar’s favorite food is bananas. His favorite activity is going outdoors into the forested habitat and he screams in excitement when the door opens to the outside. He always checks the mock termite mound first to see what tasty goodies are inside. A pro at tool use, Oscar has been seen using sticks found in the habitat as displaying tools. A few weeks ago he climbed a tree to grab a big branch to display with and then tossed it at the females.
