Paul

According to his caregivers, Paul is a sensitive little guy who wears his heart on his sleeve. He’s the smallest male in his group and is very low ranking. He’s also very fond of humans and is usually found on the ground level of his villa, which in the past has caused him to rely on the support of his human caregivers more than his fellow chimps, something staff try to discourage in order to encourage strong bonds within the group.

When Paul’s in a good mood, everything is all sunshine and rainbows. He loves to play with his groupmates and even includes humans on the fun. And when he’s in a raincloud mood, he’s quick to let everyone know. His group handles his mood swings incredibly well and are very patient with him. They all seem to understand that sometimes, Paul just needs to feel his feelings.

Paul is an all-in kind of chimp and a great hype man. Because of this spirited support, group alpha Prince has started involving him more in group dynamics. Paul has done a great job branching out and forming friendships with his fellow chimps, and we’re so proud of his progress!
