Participation in the “Chomp Like a Chimp” social media campaign constitutes your agreement to the following terms and conditions:

Eligibility: By participating, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to engage in this campaign or have received consent from a parent or guardian.

Content Submission: You acknowledge that any content you submit as part of this campaign (including but not limited to text, images, videos and audio) is your original work and does not infringe upon the rights of any third party, including intellectual property rights, privacy rights or any other legal rights.

Permissions: You confirm that you have obtained all necessary permissions and consents from any individuals featured in your submitted content. By participating, you grant Project Chimps the right to use, reproduce and distribute your content in connection with the campaign, including for promotional and marketing purposes, without any compensation to you.

Compliance: You agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations in connection with your participation in this campaign. You will not submit any content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory or otherwise objectionable.

Liability Waiver and Release: You understand and agree that, by participating in this campaign, you are releasing Project Chimps and all of its officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents from any and all claims, causes of action, liabilities and damages of any kind arising out of or in any way related to your participation (the “Released Claims”). With respect to these Released Claims, you are also waiving any and all rights and benefits conferred by or based upon California Civil Code Section 1542 (or any law of any state or territory, or federal law, that is similar, comparable or equivalent thereto), which reads as follows: “A general release does not extend to claims that the creditor or releasing party does not know or suspect to exist in his or her favor at the time of executing the release and that, if known by him or her, would have materially affected his or her settlement with the debtor or released party.”

Indemnification: You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Project Chimps from any claims, damages, losses or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to your breach of these terms or your participation in the campaign.

Governing Law: These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

Risk of Allergic Reaction: Do not participate in this challenge if you have food allergies or other medical conditions that could make it dangerous or harmful to your person. Take precautions before participating, such as eating a small bite to test for an allergic or negative reaction. Do not eat more than is medically healthy, and do not induce others to do any of the same.
By participating in the “Chomp Like a Chimp” social media campaign, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
This project would not be possible without our many generous individual supporters and volunteers. We rely on donations to fulfill our mission, including caring for our existing residents and expanding the sanctuary to accommodate those chimpanzees still waiting in the lab.
