Panielle

Panielle is such a sweet chimp that her caregivers gave her the nickname “Pancake!” She can almost always be seen with her signature blanket, either wrapped around her shoulders or tied to the end of a stick. She loves inspecting herself in the mirror and playing with her caregivers. Panielle thinks the best place to sleep is on the firehose ladders, legs crossed, blue blanket in hand, and sucking her thumb. 

Panielle has a good relationship with a lot of the chimps in her group. She’s close with Lucky, Hercules, and Oscar. That being said, her best friend in the world is her blanket. She loves blankets and likes to make strips out of them to wear around her shoulders that resemble a cape. This is what started Panielle’s superhero journey. She sits at the top level in Chateau with her blanket cape watching over her group….and our imaginations inspired a volunteer artist to write a whole comic book featuring Panielle.
