Planned Giving - Legacy Society
Project Chimps established the Legacy Society to recognize individuals and couples who have made provisions in their estate plans to provide future support for the lifetime care of the chimpanzees living out peaceful lives in the care of our facility.
A charitable gift from your estate may be more impactful than any made during your lifetime. These gifts take the form of bequests, by naming Project Chimps in a will or trust, or as beneficiary of retirement accounts and life insurance policies.
Who should join the Legacy Society?
If you have made arrangements for Project Chimps in your will, trust or other deferred gift plan, you are already eligible for membership. The Legacy Society recognizes and values your future commitment. It also allows you to engage with our community and to see firsthand that donor dollars are used wisely during your lifetime.
What are the benefits of the Legacy Society membership?
- Annual recognition at a special event honoring you and other Legacy Society members.
- Emailed updates about all of the individual chimpanzees who are part of our sponsorship program.
- Invitations to events, including those held in your area, and free upgrades to the VIP level at our onsite events.
- Opportunities to meet like-minded individuals.
- Opportunities for family members of all ages to experience our great work.
We encourage you to consult your legal and financial advisers to make sure your plans are executed according to your intent. The following suggested bequest language will help you in the process.
