Project Chimps Wins Chili Cook Off with “Chimp Chili” Recipe!

Project Chimp staff and volunteers at the Fire & Ice Chili Cook Off in Blue Ridge, Georgia

Project Chimps took top honors at the Blue Ridge Business Association’s annual Fire & Ice Chili Cook Off with its debuted “Chimp Chili” recipe.

The animal-free, vegan chili recipe was created by Rachael Ray and modified with her permission to include foods that are tasty to both humans and chimpanzees!

The chili earned first place in the Civic category at the Blue Ridge, Georgia, festival and received the highest number of points earned in the competition – 178 out of a possible 250 – from the judges.

The recipe features roasted green peppers, fire roasted tomatoes, black beans and toppings including cilantro and Banana Joe Thai Sweet Chili banana chips.
