Chimps at Project Chimps in Blue Ridge, Georgia.

With Valentine’s Day around the corner, we’re thinking about the chimps who touch our hearts.

With 79 chimpanzees now in residence at Project Chimps, it can be hard to identify just one! It’s why many supporters sponsor more than one chimp to help provide their care.

After years in medical research, Babs needs and deserves our support – as all the chimps do.

In our February 2020 update, our executive director, Ali Crumpacker, shares who her “Heart to Heart” chimp is and introduces us to Babs, the newest member of the sanctuary’s chimpanzee sponsorship program.

Read Chimpanzee Caregiver Samantha Jones’ heartwarming blog post about chimps Ray and Leo’s first day out in the forest together after many months watching the other chimps forage outdoors.
