December 2018 News: Chimpanzee Reunion, Intern Program and Holiday Goodies for All

Project Chimps is reuniting male and female former research chimpanzees who were artificially separated into same-sex groups in the lab.
This week, the male and female chimps of Project Chimps’ Cedar Tree Villa were fully integrated into a single social group of 15 chimpanzees.
It’s a major first step toward Project Chimps’ goal of building a fission-fusion society of chimpanzees – one that more closely mirrors the social structure of chimpanzees in the wild.
