Give stocks, bonds or mutual funds

Making a gift of appreciated stocks, bonds, or mutual funds to Project Chimps helps provide lifelong care for chimpanzees who were used in medical research. And your gift can lower your taxes: You’ll receive a charitable deduction for the stocks’ full market value and incur no capital gains tax, subject to IRS limitations.

How to donate stocks
Contact your broker (after consulting with tax and financial professionals, of course) and tell them you’d like to donate shares to Project Chimps. Your broker will need the following information:

  • Our broker: LPL Financial LLC
  • Deliver to DTC # 0075
  • Account name: Project Chimps
  • Account # 43952961

That’s it! We encourage you to notify us when you donate stocks, so we can properly acknowledge your gift. Electronic transfers don’t always provide us with your information.

We also accept Fed-eligible securities, physical securities, mutual funds, and foreign securities. Contact our Philanthropy Officer, James Haworth, for more information.

Thank you for helping provide a well-deserved retirement for these former research chimpanzees!

Won't You Help?

This project would not be possible without our many generous individual supporters and volunteers. We rely on donations to fulfill our mission, including caring for our existing residents and expanding the sanctuary to accommodate those chimpanzees still waiting in the lab.

Won’t you help us bring the remaining chimps to sanctuary by supporting Project Chimps today? Please donate today because...
