Harriett is a very sociable chimp — she doesn’t even hesitate to be friendly with the rambunctious teenage males in her group in Chateau. Harriett’s strongest relationship is still with her group mate Betty, whom she is known to defend when male rambunctiousness starts to get out of hand. Harriett has taken a liking to the new tree platform in the habitat and is often seen dozing among the leaves.
She and Betty are often within sight of each other while out ranging in the habitat — returning together at dinner time after strolling in the sun.
