Who's Who in Dorothy Jo & Tilly Villa?
About This Group
Dorothy Jo and Tilly Villa (DJT) was made possible by the DJ&T Foundation and named for Bob Barker’s wife and mother, both of whom loved all animals. The group is led by alpha Patrick, who looks out for his groupmates while taking a laid-back approach to leadership. You may spot this group in the North Yard of Peachtree Habitat!

Chimpanzees eat their food in multiple ways. Each method is unique to that chimp. This helps humans learn more about the chimpanzee as an individual.
-
Caregiver Joseph Elliot tells us about working with chimps from his perspective. “The best part about working with former laboratory chimpanzees is seeing them settle in and begin to enjoy sanctuary life.”
